Deck Building in Hanover, PA
Low-maintenance composite and PVC decks, framed to code and finished with hidden fasteners, custom stairs and matching railing.
How we build it
Deck Building done right
A deck is the piece of the yard your family uses every single day, so we build the parts you never see with the same care as the boards you walk on. Every D2K deck starts with a site visit where we check grade, door height, access, and where the footings need to land. From there we frame with properly sized, pressure-treated lumber, set concrete footings below the frost line, flash the ledger, and space joists tight enough that composite decking never telegraphs a soft spot.
Most homeowners in Hanover, New Oxford and Littlestown choose composite or PVC decking, and for good reason: no sanding, no annual stain, and a color that holds up through Central PA winters. We install with hidden fasteners so the surface stays clean, wrap posts and fascia for a finished look, and size stairs and landings around how you actually move between the house, the yard and the patio.
Railing is part of the design, not an afterthought. We match vinyl, aluminum or composite railing to the deck and the house, and we can add post cap lighting or riser lights so the space stays usable after dark. If the deck ties into a patio, walkway or fence line, one D2K crew handles all of it, so nothing gets orphaned between trades.

Common questions
Deck Building FAQ
- How long does a deck build take?
- Most residential decks are installed in three to seven working days once materials are on site, depending on size, elevation and stair count.
- Do you build on existing frames?
- Yes, when the frame and footings pass inspection. If the structure is compromised we will tell you honestly and quote a rebuild instead.
- Composite or PVC?
- Composite is the value choice with excellent color options. PVC is lighter, fully synthetic, and the coolest underfoot option for full-sun decks.

"Brandon and his crew installed a new deck and fence at our house - a long overdue project! We are thrilled with both. His team is professional, friendly, and they work extremely hard. The bid was right in the ballpark of what we expected, the work was completed in a timely manner, and they were very good about cleaning up the work site when the jobs were finished. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone seeking deck, fencing, and rail services."
"We recently had a vinyl fence and patio installed, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The crew was professional, hardworking, and paid attention to every detail. The fence looks amazing, feels solid, and completely transformed the look of our yard. The patio turned out even better than we imagined — clean, level, and beautifully finished."
"Brandon is fantastic. He did all the leg work and kept us updated prior to and during our project. Brandon got the ball rolling with his crew and got our fence installed as anticipated. We're extremely happy with the turnout, the quality and craftsmanship Brandon and his crew provided. We highly recommend D2K and our pups do too!!"
